- Use a microwave-safe bowl for melting candy wafers.
Recipe FAQs
Freezing is not recommended. Candy coating may crack and popcorn can become soggy.
Absolutely! White chocolate, milk chocolate, or candy melts all work. You can also swap M&Ms for mini chocolate chips or seasonal candy.
It can be made gluten-free if you use gluten-free pretzels. Popcorn and candy wafers are naturally gluten-free in most cases-just check labels.
How To Store Holiday Popcorn Mix
Store your Festive Holiday Popcorn Mix in an airtight container at room temperature, away from heat and humidity to keep the candy from melting and the popcorn from getting soggy. Avoid refrigerating or freezing, as this can cause the candy coating to crack and the popcorn to lose its crunch. For the best flavor and texture, enjoy within 2 days.
