How to Make No-Bake White Chocolate Pretzel Hearts
Step 1: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper so you have a clean and steady surface to work on.
Spread the pretzels out in one even layer on the sheet. Keep them flat and with a little space between each one (Image 1).
Step 2: Put the white melting wafers into a piping bag. Microwave in 20-second intervals, gently squeezing the bag between each round to help the chocolate melt evenly. Continue until smooth.
Cut a tiny opening at the tip of the piping bag. Slowly fill the center of each pretzel with the melted chocolate (Image 2). It should settle nicely into the shape and look like a small heart.
Step 3: Add your sprinkles right away while the chocolate is still soft. Use whatever amount feels right for you.
Chill the pretzels in the freezer for about 20 minutes, or place them in the fridge for around an hour. Once set, they'll be crisp, sweet, salty, and ready to enjoy (Image 3).
Hint: You do not have to use a piping bag. A zip top bag with the corner snipped off works just as well in a pinch. If you are making a big batch, keep the chocolate warm between rounds by resting the bag in a bowl of hot water. It stays fluid and you do not need to keep reheating it.
💭Crucial Success Tips
Make sure your chocolate is fully melted and nice and fluid before you start piping it. That is the key to getting a neat heart shape that fills the center of the pretzel without overflowing. Always add the sprinkles right away while the chocolate is still soft. If it starts to set, the sprinkles will not stick and will just fall off.
Recipe FAQs
Yes, you can make this treat up to three days ahead and store it in the fridge. The pretzels stay crisp and the chocolate keeps a nice finish, so it works really well for parties and gifting.
For this recipe, I like to use white melting wafers because they melt smoothly and are less likely to seize. If you use regular white chocolate, chop it finely so it melts evenly and stir often while heating.
You can use mini twists, pretzel snaps, or even gluten free pretzels. Just choose a shape that has a little pocket in the middle for the chocolate and is sturdy enough to hold its shape.
How To Store No-Bake White Chocolate Pretzel Hearts
Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days. For longer storage, freeze up to 1 month and thaw before serving.
